Launched in 2022, the Greater Brockton Minority Business Association (GBMBA) is the result of a collaboration between several organizations that are part of the Community Navigator Pilot Program initiated by the Biden-Harris Administration through the Small Business Administration (SBA). The GBMBA was born at a crucial moment following more than two years of economic stagnation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a crisis that has brought many small businesses to the brink of financial bankruptcy.
The GBMBA is a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the needs of minority owned-businesses. It aims to aid these businesses by reducing barriers in accessing capital (public and private) for their projects, through continuing education and networking, helping them understand the complexity and at times cumbersome administrative procedures for local, state and federal contracts, loans and grants.
